The 2015, 2017, and I believe 2019 versions come with TypeScript installed already. The first is through Visual Studio (not to be confused with Visual Studio Code) which is an IDE. There are two main ways to install TypeScript. So, now we're ready to get started with TypeScript and start making use of its awesome features. TypeScript is the default in Angular projects and I have an article in the works about getting started with it.Īlso, this article assumes you have a basic understanding of JavaScript programming. Reading that article isn't required but it will give you a great understanding of the data types and syntax for TypeScript.īefore we start, it's important to note that TypeScript can be used in conjunction with a framework/library but it can also be used independent of a framework/library. If you'd like an overview of the data types you will find it helpful to read my previous article. And that's just a sampling of everything it offers. Then it throws errors if the returned data is not the type we expected to get back, or if a function call has too few or too many arguments. It allows us to type cast when declaring variables which means we explicitly set the type of data we expect back. Rebooted, logged back in, ran application again… bingo! It works!.Ran executeable (/opt/manager-accounting/manager-accounting), Got the error I posted initially.Linked /usr/bin/mono to /usr/bin/cli (sudo ln -sf /usr/bin/mono /usr/bin/cli).Installed package list at the bottom of this post (these are the only dependancies I knew were missing, but I’ve got alot of developer packages installed already on my system so there may be more on “vanilla” Fedora installs).Edited group permissions on install directory so I was in a group with execute permissions (sudo chgrp -R users /opt/manager-accounting/).Ran yum install ~/rpmbuild/manager-accounting-14.10.Saved file produced which then subsequently produced new rpm (in ~/rpmbuild).Edited file to remove directories which already existed (got conflicts initially with filesystem package).Ran rpmrebuild -pe manager-accounting-14.10. (opens editor showing RPM “makefile” equivilent).Ran alien -r b which produced manager-accounting-14.10.Thanks, *Eto.HandlerInvalidException: type could not be found in this generatorĪt (System.Type type, Eto.Widget widget) in :0Īt (Eto.Generator generator, System.Type type, Boolean initialize) in :0Īt (Eto.Generator generator, System.Type handlerType, Boolean initialize) in :0Īt (Eto.Generator generator, System.Type type, Boolean initialize) in :0Īt (Eto.Generator generator, System.Type type, Boolean initialize) in :0Īt (Eto.Generator generator) in :0Īt () in :0Īt Manager.Form+c_Displa圜lass18.b_d (System.Object param0, System.EventArgs param1) in :0Īt (System.EventArgs e) in :0Īt (System.EventArgs e) in :0Īt () in :0Īt Manager.Form+c_Displa圜lass3.b_1 (System.Object param0, System.EventArgs param1) in :0Īt (System.EventArgs e) in :0Īt .Run (System.String args) in :0Īt (System.String args) in :0Īt (System.String args) in :0* Has anyone managed to get Mono working under Fedora Linux? If so, did you get the issue below? I’m now able to run the manager-accouting executable, however I’m now presented with what looks like an error with assembly referencing (see pasted error information below). After getting the RPM to install I found I had to install mono packages which were dependencies to get the application to work, and then link the /usr/bin/mono file to /usr/bin/cli (all done to get to this stage). deb file to an rpm using alien, and then edit out some errors related to filesystem/directory creation using repmrebuild.
